| Content | Hess informs Meyer that Dr. Rentschler, chief of the Research Laboratories of Westinghouse Lamp Works has succeeded in making pure uranium and thorium. He asks Meyer if he wants to send him Io-thorium oxalate (Io-thorium is an isotope of Thorium of mass number 230), so they can use the same technique to make pure metallic thorium and ionium. He offers to send the pure metals back to him as a sample. |
