| Content | Hess reports that his friends Rentschler and Marden have developed a new method for achieving very high temperatures and have used it to produce pure thorium and uranium. They found that uranium consists of two components with different melting points. He asks Meyer to send him various ore samples, possibly also ordering them from the Krantz company in Bonn, in to carry out further tests. |
