Content<\/strong><\/td>Hess writes Meyer that he suspects the Birthday card he had sent him had been lost and so he sends his Birthday wishes again. He thanks Meyer for the information regarding Auer-Welsbach and writes that he delivered the information to Dr. Miner. Hess got a letter from Thirring, who wanted a certain volume from a Journal or textbook. Hess writes he tries to send him a copy.
Hess writes he feels sorry about Meyers health problems and advises him to go for walks, and that he will send him tobacco in his next package. He then asks about Exner, and that he heard about Hilde Exners (his daughter) death (23. April 1922).
He then writes about another colleague (Josef Geitler von Armingen), who had a stroke, which according to Hess was the result of being treated badly by his colleagues.
Hess writes his speech in Baltimore was successful. His apparatus for measuring concentration in ores is working great and Hess describes the methods.
Lastly he writes about his meeting in St. Louis and that he is going to Virginia doing some work with his new apparatus.<\/td><\/tr>
