Recognition of Victor Franz Hess with a plaque on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the Hall of Honorin the Administration Building Rose Hill Campusof Fordham University in New York.
Victor Franz Hess emigrated from Graz to the United States in 1938 and taught physics at the University of Fordham until his retirement in 1956. In 1958 he received the highest award from the University of Fordham, the prestigious Insignis Medal, which is awarded to ' Catholic leaders for extraordinary distinction in the service of God through excellent performance in their professions'.
